How do I join Volstreet.com ?

We are happy that you would like to join Volstreet. To join Volstreet, please visit www.volstreet.com and click on the “Sign Up” link. You are required to select your type. If you are an individual and want to join as Volunteer then click on Volunteer link. Alternatively you can select NGO or CSR depending on your type. After then create a user name and password. After registering, a verification mail will be sent to your primary e-mail address, which will confirm your registration.

How is Volstreet.com different from Other Networking sites ?

Volstreet.com connects users to different NGOs, CSRs present around the world. Volstreet.com updates the user with different volunteering work available and social events happening locally as well as globally. Volstreet.com also helps NGOs / CSRs to find right volunteer for their volunteer work.

How can I search for events, jobs and users ?
|
|
Click on Search Page link located on top-right of the profile page. The search page provides you functionality to search Events, Jobs, Users, NGOs and CSRs. To view all events / jobs / users , leave the fields blank and hit search button.

How can I edit my profile ?
|
|
Click on Edit Profile link located on right side of Profile Section. It will show prepopulated profile updation form. Just modify whatever profile fields you want to modify.

Can NGOs / CSRs add multiple locations in there profiles ?
|
|
Yes, NGOs/CSRs can add multiple locations in there profiles by entering all locations delimited by ; e.g. delhi;chennai;mumbai...

How can I upload my photo ?
|
|
Click on Upload Photo link located on right side of Profile Section. Right now user can only upload a maximum of 100KB of image.

How can I view Events specific to me ?
|
|
For recent events belonging to your location or area of interest, you can click on Events link located near your profile picture. To display all such events you can click on more link located in event division. Alternatively you can search events by browsing Search Page.

How can I keep track of what volunteer work I have applied for or done in the past ?
|
|
You can click on Volunteer work link located near your profile picture to see your recent volunteer work. To see the full list click on more link located in work division. Alternatively you can search for specific volunteer work by browsing search page.

How can I view my Volunteer-Friends / NGOs / CSRs ?
|
|
By default list of your friends will be made available on right section of your profile page. To browse their profile, just click on their pictures and Volstreet will direct you to their profiles. Their you can send mesages, write/veiw testimonials, view/apply for job/events, etc.

How can I grow my Volunteer-Friends / NGOs / CSRs Network ?
|
|
In every user’s homepage there is a suggestions sub-tab in Network section. Clicking on Suggestions will get similar Volunteers / NGOs / CSRs profiles. You can add them in your Network or you can go to the search page to browse for new Volunteers / NGOs / CSRs profiles.

How can I send message to someone ?
|
|
Choose the person you want to send message. Open his profile. Select Chit-Chat Board link from his profile section. Click on send message link.

How can I view messages sent to me ?
|
|
On your Home page, select Chit-Chat Board link from profile section. Click on received message link.
|
|
|
How can I give Feedback to someone ?
|
|
Choose the person you want to write feedback. Open his profile. Select Perceptions link from his profile section. Click on write Perception link.

How can someone view my Perceptions ?
|
|
On the profile page, select Perception link from his profile section. Click on received perceptions link.
|

|
How can I participate in General Discussion Board ?
|
|
Click on Discussion Board link located on top-right of the profile page. You can view/start a new Discussion or alternatively comment on existing discussion topics.

How can I logout ?

|
Click on sign out link located on top right region of your page.

Is it important to sign out? Can I just close the window ?
|
|
Yes, it is important to sign out secured. Hitting in sign out link will destroy the session created for you. This will prevent unauthorized login.
