About Volstreet

Volstreet provides a networking platform for volunteers, CSR's( Corporate Social Responsibility Arms) and NGOs. Time and again a lot of us want to do something good for the society but do not find the oppurtunities and slowly the resolve fades away. The Volunteer Work Board at Volstreet allows NGOs/CSRs to post requirements for volunteers and those interested can take it up. The discussion forums on various issues help people discuss to evolve creative solutions to
address these and work collboratively.

We also intend to bring out the Goodness Journal on a monthly or a fortnighlty basis where all are free to mail to admin@volstreet.com to send in the real life stories of goodness that they see around. These need not necessarily be organizations but can be individuals acts of goodness to. To start this, Vijay Haryal's book "Pursuit of Goodness" is being made available to all the people who join the website.

Last but not the least, we do expect "All of us" - essentially means the society to own this portal. We sincerely request you to bring the organizations on the portal which are not net savvy and help them getting volunteers and support. We would also suggest that a group of friends can adopt a school / street children shelter/ any other such entity and work to develop it. If such a group also needs to be listed along with the NGOs and CSRs, we would love to do it.

The intention is very simple - Let's volunteer for a better tommorow !
